Housing Support and Compliance Specialist

General Responsibilities

  1. Support preparation for regulatory audits and property inspections
  2. Maintains calendar (and track compliance deadline including recertifications, inspections, and regulatory reporting) related to all property inspections. ditto
  3. Updates and maintain department policies, manuals, files, databases and other documentation necessary for department.
  4. Performs problem-solving on routine administrative and operational issues, working with property managers and Executive Director of Housing.
  5. Creates, develops and submits for review and approval agency responses/all communication materials, including letters as assigned.
  6. Assists with scheduling meetings including coordinating with host property manager.
  7. Provides administrative support to Executive Director of Housing, and at times Property Managers. (May require traveling to sites)
  8. Provides compliance support and file supervision for all Housing properties (ensuring that the files are audit ready).
  9. Maintain monthly compliance tracking log and documentation of corrective actions identified and completed.
  10. Preparation and submission of documentation to secure funds from escrowed reserve accounts.
  11. Process invoices related to Housing expenditures.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred as well as Tax Credit Certification

Skill(s): organization, excel, word, access, power point, clerical, patience, flexibility organization, time management, excel, word, access, power point, clerical, patience, flexibility and ability to multi-task.

Experience: Minimum of two years of administrative experience. Some affordable housing experience is prefrred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Evidence of strong skills in organization, prioritization and self-direction is required.
